Subaru offers Autogas version of the Outback in Spain

The Subaru Outback, recently rated as the safest vehicle according to Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) tests, is now available with bi-fuel technology. Customers can purchase or transform the Outback range with an LPG kit, and receive the Spanish DGT’s ECO label.

The ECO bi-fuel versions of the new Subaru Outback feature the new generation 2.5-litre naturally aspirated Boxer engine with 169 HP. By using two tanks, they can circulate either with gasoline or with Autogas, obtaining a range of more than 1,000 kilometres. In addition, they help reduce 45% on fuel costs. The use of this type of fuel also represents a significant reduction in nitrogen dioxide and CO2 emissions.

The Subaru Outback LPG includes all the advantages of the DGT’s ECO label, such as discounts in regulated parking areas, reductions in road taxes and tolls in certain autonomous communities. The ECO label also facilitates unlimited circulation in city centres during periods of traffic restrictions due to high pollution.

Subaru also offers the ValveCare lubrication system, which protects the valves, lubricates the cylinders and extends the life of the engine. The LPG tank does not reduce the boot capacity of 522 litres, one of the aspects most valued by the drivers of the new Outback. For more information, please visit this link.
