Spanish workshop association offers online training on Autogas conversions

By virtue of the agreement that the Spanish Confederation of Workshops (Cetraa) maintains with Repsol and Dimsport for the free training of its associates on bi-fuel and dual-fuel systems, the entity is offering online classes due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The training includes four sessions of approximately two hours, covering the technical basis of the systems available for the conversion of vehicles to Autogas, and offering examples of the complete installation of the kits.

In addition, those workshops attending all the sessions will have the theoretical part of the face-to-face training validated, which will allow their accreditation as installers. Therefore, when possible, technicians should only attend the 16-hour practical module consisting of the installation of a conversion kit on a vehicle.

To promote participation and project success, LPG conversion kits will be raffled among the participating workshops on each day.

According to Dimsport, “this solution allows workshops to have a new line of business and income and is a double economic and environmental solution for customers and companies seeking environmentally friendly mobility since, on the one hand, converted vehicles reduce their carbon footprint by 25% and, on the other, they allows savings of between 15% and 30% on the annual fuel bill.”
