Poland: Łódź transport operator adds LPG-powered Dacia Sandero Stepway cars

The Dacia Sandero Stepway model has been added to the fleet of the Municipal Transport Company in Łódź (MPK Łódź). The new cars, which will be used for traffic supervision, run on Autogas, allowing to reduce operating costs by almost half.

The Dacia Sandero Stepway ECO-G 100 vehicles are equipped with an LPG-powered engine. The cars will perform daily tasks related to maintaining the operation of public transportation. A large ground clearance allows them to drive even on high curbs and the Autogas technology is a guarantee of low fleet maintenance costs.

“The Dacia Sandero Stepway is currently one of the most popular and budget cars in the B segment. The solutions of high ground clearance and covers in critical parts of the body perfectly fit into many operational activities of municipal companies from the construction and road industries,” said Radosław Smolec from the Renault/Dacia’s dealership Jaszpol.

The new cars also feature specialised equipment, including additional lighting, communication systems, image recorders, as well as a defibrillator, which increases the safety of passengers in the event of health and life hazards.

Dacia Autogas vehicles are increasingly joining local governments’ fleets that appreciate their low purchase costs, low operating costs and high residual value. For more information, please visit this link.
