Pioneering multi-fuel station opens in Estonia

Alexela has opened a multi-filling station with the world’s broadest selection of fuels in Jüri, the outskirts of Estonia’s capital Tallinn. According to the company, this is the first station that offers diesel, petrol, electricity, Autogas, CNG and LNG all in one place.

“It is really the first such energy department store in the whole wide world where in addition to petrol, diesel and electricity, one can also buy LPG and natural gas for cars,” said member of the Alexela Group Management Board Marti Hääl.

Speaking at the opening of the Jüri filling station, Henrik Hololei, Director-General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission said that there was no one future solution for all sectors, and that different fuels and sector-based solutions were therefore needed.

“Using an LPG car will help you save up to 45% on fuel costs. LPG is an affordable liquid gas, which is an environmentally more sustainable car fuel than diesel or petrol,” says the company.

Alexela operates more than 100 filling stations across the country, including nearly 30 that offer Autogas. For more information, please check this link.
