First Drive – Bajaj Qute.- Priyank Chhapwale/Autocar India

Already on sale in Kerala, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh, Bajaj’s all-new quadricycle, the Bajaj Qute, was recently introduced in Maharashtra in its petrol and CNG options. Bajaj Auto has now confirmed that an LPG version is in the final stages of development and that is expected to be launched by the end of May.

“Soon you will be seeing more variants of the Qute coming in, the immediate one being an LPG version,” said Prashant Ahir, Deputy General Manager, Intracity Business Unit, Bajaj Auto, during the launch ceremony in Maharashtra.

The upcoming LPG variant will be powered by the same rear-mounted 216 cc, single-cylinder, twin-spark engine that powers the petrol and CNG models. The Qute is available as a mono-fuel vehicle, thus drivers can either get it in petrol form or LPG/CNG, not both.

Dimensionally, the Qute is 2,752mm long, 1,312mm wide and 1,652 mm tall. Wheelbase is 1,925 mm. The rear engined quadricycle has 20kg luggage capacity under the bonnet and can carry another 40kgs with the addition of roof rails.

The new Bajaj Qute is the country’s first quadricycle and the company is offering it for both personal and commercial use. For more information, please check this link.
