Dutch Autogas business brings its dual fuel technology to Latin America

Netherlands-based Vialle Autogas Systems BV plans to bring its products to Mexico as it signed a cooperation agreement with ATAK Trade for the distribution of Vialle systems in the Latin American country. Given the market size and response, several thousand systems are expected annually from 2021 onwards.

ATAK has been presented to Vialle by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl), which is part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and is a successful importer with good connections in the transport sector. ATAK has a Dutch management, located in Querétaro, which provides an investment in highly qualified in-house conversion centres and selected strategic partners to provide the market with quality products.

“A test has already been carried out with three transport companies in Mexico. Those are companies with fleets featuring hundreds of trucks. They are very interested,” commented Peter Rutten, Director of Vialle.

Mexico has about 125 million inhabitants and 48 million vehicles registered. This quantity is growing by 7% annually, as is interest in Autogas and alternative fuels. There are 3,155 LPG filling stations in Mexico.

Vialle positions its diesel/LPG mix DualBlue technology for trucks, replacing approximately 30% with a clean and economical fuel via a proven technology of high quality, and expects to further expand its growing position in Central America with this new partnership.
