Dacia reaches 100,000 LPG-powered cars sold in Spain
While Dacia reached a milestone of one million LPG/petrol bi-fuel vehicles commercialised globally, the company sold 100,000 units with this propulsion system in Spain.
The Autogas system, available across the entire range, Sandero, Stepway, Duster and Jogger, has been on the market since 2010 and, according to the manufacturer, the landmark of 100,000 Autogas cars registered in Spain “reflects the maturity of this technology.”
At the moment, Dacia has an 85% market share in this country in LPG technology and, in the case of Europe, the business is reduced to a share of 67%. Today, four out of ten of the brand’s customers buy vehicles with Autogas capability.
Vehicles equipped with Dacia bi-fuel ECO engine can run on either petrol or LPG. The two tanks are separate and have a capacity of approximately 50 litres each, depending on the model. This means that the driving range can reach 1,500 kilometres.
