Montagas, one of the companies that has been promoting the Autogas market for several years in Colombia, particularly in the department of Nariño, has shared positive projections for the near future.

Operating across five departments in southwestern Colombia, Montagas initially introduced its Autogas offering in the city of Pasto, the capital of Nariño, where the company’s main headquarters are based.

To date, Montagas has converted over 108 vehicles, predominantly taxis and public service vehicles, which, according to the company, “have seen the benefits of LPG in their daily work.” The company also revealed plans for significant investment aimed at expanding its network of Autogas stations and vehicle conversions.

“Our projection for 2025 is to have at least 400 vehicles converted to LPG, in addition to taking this alternative to other municipalities where we have seen good potential, which has a positive impact on the care of the environment, as well as on the economy of those who have made the decision to convert to LPG,” said-Laythy B. Safa H., General Manager of Montagas.

“LPG has very interesting potential in Colombia. This alternative is relatively new in the country, but there are already more than 28 million vehicles with LPG in circulation around the world. There is much to do, especially, to dispel some myths that people have about the use of this fuel, which is definitely consolidating itself as a great option for vehicular combustion,” he added.
