Central Colombia’s first Autogas station opens in Cundinamarca

GasMax has opened its first LPG service station for vehicles in the municipality of Fusagasugá, Cundinamarca, under the Biomax brand. During four months, the company tested LPG in several vehicles of the region, with outstanding results in relation to engine performance and fuel and money savings.

This is the sixth Autogas station to be put into operation in Colombia and the first located in the centre of the country. Biomax expects that the facility can serve more than 200 vehicles per day from the Sumapaz region by the end of 2022.

“This alternative fuel benefits users by providing greater power and autonomy to both light and medium vehicles, while reducing the cost in each refuelling,” said Germán Ortiz, General Director of Newgen, the company that provided the structuring service for the project.

The opening took place within the framework of the celebration of the 430 years of Fusagasugá. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the national Ministry of Mining and Energy, the Government of Cundinamarca and the Mayor’s Office of Fusagasugá.
