Basque Country allocates nearly EUR 500,000 for the development of renewable Liquid Gas engines

BeGas Fabrika announced it will receive a total aid of EUR 487,926 from the Basque Government in the form of a grant and repayable advance, for the design and development of an assembly line for heavy vehicle engines powered by renewable Liquid Gas, including a hot test that will allow it to increase its production capacity and improve the quality controls of its product.

The aid includes:

– EUR 40,500 through the Bilakatu COVID-19 Programme of grants for companies affected by the pandemic that carry out diversification and/or relocation actions, developing new capacities, in business lines, products, services and markets. It is promoted by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government.

– A grant of EUR 117,624 through to the Indartu Programme for companies that make productive investments, leading to competitive improvement and economic development to boost the Expanded Left Bank Zone and other municipalities with an unemployment rate higher than 10% of the annual average in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. It is granted by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government.

– A reimbursable advance of EUR 94,500 from the Gauzatu Industria aid initiative to promote the creation and development of technology-based SMEs. It is promoted by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government.

– A grant of EUR 235,307 through the 3i Programme for comprehensive support for innovation, internationalisation and investment. It is granted by the Economic Promotion Office of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
