The Autogas bi-fuel version of the SsangYong XLV G16 has been homologated to operate as a taxi in Madrid, offering a new clean mobility solution to this transport mode. With this addition, the South Korean brand expands its current LPG offering, which so far included the Tivoli exclusively.

The new SsangYong XLV LPG, labelled with the ECO sticker from the General Direction of Transport (DGT), can already be acquired in Madrid and very soon it will be available in Barcelona.

The vehicle features a 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine with 128 hp and 160 Nm maximum torque, with a six-speed manual transmission. The LPG tank has a capacity of 53 litres, which will considerably increase the drive range already offered by the gasoline tank.

According to SsangYong, the Autogas version of the SsangYong XLV offers fuel cost savings of up to 40% compared to the gasoline-powered version. In addition, the emissions of NOx and solid particles can be reduced up to 90%.

SsangYong, which will keep the current guarantee of five years or 100,000 kilometres, is offering the LPG-powered car at 14.500 Euros + VAT. In addition, as part of the launch campaign, taxi drivers who acquire the XLV will also receive a check for 1,000 Euros to buy Autogas at any of the 370 Repsol, Campsa and Petronor refuelling stations located throughout Spain.
