Tourists visiting Kentucky distilleries travel on Autogas graffiti shuttles
The ever-increasing number of tourists visiting Kentucky distilleries can be seen as a facilitating factor for these whiskey makers looking into ways to upgrade their visitor experiences. Diageo-owned whiskey brand Bulleit Distilling Co. in Shelbyville has launched their own visitor’s centre at their new distillery in June. This opening marks the 17th stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
In order to reduce its carbon footprint, Bulleit has partnered with the Kentucky Propane Education & Resource Council, in its commitment to using Autogas to power Visitor Experience buses. In this regard, highlights of this initiative include graffiti tour buses powered by LPG and designed by local graffiti artist Braylyn Stewart.
“Stewart (otherwise known as ‘Resko’) is a working mural, tattoo and conceptual artist based in Louisville who designed an eco-friendly, green fuel-powered graffiti bus for the Visitor Experience Tour, adding a unique element of local creative flare,” says Diageo’s statement.
“Bulleit Distilling Co. Visitor Experience tour highlights sustainability, technology and modern entrepreneurial spirit,” they added. If you want to know more, please visit this link.
