Tomza Group projects construction of almost 200 LPG stations in Central America and Mexico

Tomza Group introduced Autogas to Central America in 2011, providing an eco-sustainable alternative to the region by offering vehicle conversion services and installing a network of filling stations in each country, thus providing great benefits for citizens.

To date, Tomza has converted more than 20,000 vehicles in the region and supplied more than 30 thousand beneficiaries in five countries.

In Honduras, it has focused on the conversion of taxis, providing savings of up to USD 90,000 a year to each taxi driver, adding a saving of USD 900,000,000 annually to the union in general.

In order to supply the demand for this fuel, Tomza has also invested in the construction and renovation of Autogas refuelling stations. It currently has 75 facilities in Central America and 650 in Mexico, achieving a network of more than 700 locations internationally.

The company’s short- and medium-term growth plans include 20 additional service stations in Honduras, 29 in Guatemala, 20 in El Salvador and 20 in Costa Rica, as well as 100 more in Mexico, that is, about 200 LPG refuelling points in total.

According to Tomsa, vehicles that use this system see savings in fuel costs of up to 50%, which allows to recover the investment in the LPG kit installation in about three months.

“Betting on Autogas as an alternative solution provides enormous savings compared to gasoline and diesel. This helps taxi drivers and public transportation to keep their rates stable, distribution fleets to avoid contributing to inflation, and citizens with converted vehicles to lower expenses and improve family finances,” they added.
