Spain’s Autogas market presents favourable prospects for 2024
LPG adoption is expanding rapidly in response to a substantial fiscal incentive and various national and local initiatives to promote the implementation of this fuel for environmental reasons.
Barcelona, for instance, has managed to comply with EU pollution limits and plans new car restrictions to meet new thresholds in 2030.
DobleEco is the brand for the network of workshops with which the Italian Dimsport company accomplishes the transformation of diesel vehicles to a dual gas solution that allows it to obtain the ECO label from the DGT.
Miguel Ángel Martín, Business director of DobleEco, gave an interview to Nexotrans.com in which he stated his company had developed modern software to adapt the newest vehicle models to LPG. In addition, they are creating a national network of approved workshops in Madrid, Valencia, Andalucia, and the northern region of the country.
Martín assured the conversions are reliable and safe since they are “the only Spanish company that has four functional sets” to transform light and heavy vehicles keeping their performance.
“The first conversions were done mainly to save money but the determining factor nowadays is obtaining the ECO label”, he concluded.
