Spain: Renault launches New Clio, available in Autogas option

Renault has presented the New Clio, a redesign of the model that was first launched in 1990 and whose new generation is up to date with the latest technology. As for the engines, it now offers the most complete range of powertrains of its category on the market, including LPG, hybrid, diesel and gasoline drive systems. Orders for the New Clio will open in Spain in June 2023.

The Autogas version of the New Clio has great versatility and low cost of operation. It features a TCe 100 LPG engine, a three-cylinder turbo, which thanks to its bi-fuel LPG/petrol system improves performance while reducing consumption and CO2 emissions (it emits 8% less than an equivalent gasoline engine).

A proven, affordable and economical solution, this LPG engine offers a good level of performance, including a maximum torque of 170 Nm from 2,000 rpm, allowing a versatile use. With its two independent tanks full, the car has a combined range of more than 1,000 kilometres.

The installation of the LPG fuel system into the New Clio is carried out directly at Renault’s manufacturing plant.

Since its launch more than 30 years ago, the success of the Renault Clio has never wavered, with almost 16 million units sold worldwide and more than one million in Spain. Voted Best Car of the Year in Spain in 1991 and twice voted Car of the Year in Europe, Clio has always been one of the most emblematic urban cars on the market since its inception and throughout its five generations.
