Renault introduces its LPG-powered Clio in the Netherlands

Last year, this model was presented in France and has been claimed by the Dutch automotive industry.  Although it is slightly more expensive than the petrol version, it has 10 extra hp (100 hp instead of 90) and runs on a fuel that provides significant savings in the long term.

The Evolution version costs 24,690 euros and the more luxurious Techno version costs 26,690 euros. In both cases, the additional cost of the LPG variant is 800 euros, which is amortised in less than three years.

Renault’s Bi-Fuel models start on petrol and then automatically switch to Liquified Petroleum Gas. They are equipped with a 2-tank system: one for petrol and one for LPG. The LPG tank is located in the space where you would normally find the spare wheel. This way, the volume of the luggage compartment is maintained. The tank can be filled through an opening behind the tank flap.
