Northeast Italian region offers incentives to environmentally friendly vehicles

Though an agreement signed with the Chambers of Commerce of Pordenone, Udine and Venezia Giulia, the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) has approved bonuses of up to 5,000 Euros to replace old vehicles with Autogas, natural gas, hybrid and electric cars.

The project will allow to grant incentives to private individuals from a minimum of 3,000 to a maximum of 5,000 Euros for the scrapping of Euro 0 or Euro 1 petrol vehicles and Euro 0 to Euro 3 diesel vehicles, and the consequent purchase of new alternative fuel vehicles.

The total amount is 1,512,000 Euros and, in addition to cars, vehicles intended for passenger transport with a maximum of eight seats are also included in the initiative.

“This is a measure that will help us contribute to reducing air pollution and improving air quality,” said Fabio Scoccimarro, councillor for Environment and Energy of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The maximum support for a car replaced with a bi-fuel vehicle (Autogas or natural gas) is 3,000 Euros, while hybrid vehicles get an incentive of 4,000 Euros and EVs 5,000 Euros. For more information, please check this link.
