Nigerian industry joins forces to promote Autogas vehicles

Doowegas and THLD GROUP are ready to boost Autogas vehicles conversion, sales and training centres across the country, as both companies have signed a collaboration agreement to promote LPG in transport in Nigeria. Doowegas currently owns over 15 retail Autogas stations in Lagos, while THLD AUTOGAS SYSTEMS BY STAG is one of the leading distributors of LPG fuel technologies.

This partnership is another example of both company’s commitment to the environment, to develop a more sustainable service and to encourage the use of alternative fuels that protect the air quality in cities around the world. Through this agreement, the two groups will be also able to collaborate in the Nigerian market to develop incentives for the introduction and expansion of Autogas vehicles, through their respective refuelling station and dealer networks.

“THLD Group has come to Nigeria at the right time. The present economic recession has necessitated Nigerians to look for alternative but cheaper means of generating power via generator sets and fuelling of their vehicles. There is no better time than now for Nigerians vis-à-vis the governments and corporate bodies to embrace this innovation,” said Olajuwan Olusegun, CEO and managing director of THLD Group.

Meanwhile, Doowegas is also committed to contributing and progressing towards more sustainable energy models. Besides obtaining cost savings, by improving energy efficiency and promoting renewable energies, the company seeks to minimise the environmental impact, especially reducing emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs).
