Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd and state-run company Jamuna Oil, subsidiary of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, have teamed up to increase the Autogas market around the country, replacing traditional fuels.

Under this alliance, Bashundhara will supply LPG to Jamuna’s Autogas stations and will also install new LPG dispensers at Jamuna’s facilities. Bashundhara is partnering with around 200 Autogas stations to supply LPG and the process to sign agreements with another 200 service stations is underway.

According to Jamuna Oil Managing Director Gias Uddin Ansary, Autogas has become a popular alternative fuel and Bashundhara LP Gas can fulfil the local demand of environmentally friendly energy through the partnership.

“The signing of the agreement with Jamuna Oil Company, the largest company in the LPG industry, will be a milestone. Under the agreement, both sides will work together to market internationally recognised and safer Autogas as opposed to Bangladesh’s traditional fuel.  The way we have been working in product diversification and marketing, we will also maintain its excellence in the Autogas sector,” added Bashundhara LP Gas Head of Sales Zakaria Jalal
