This year AGR Autogas Group and its partner Auto Italia plan to launch an LPG version of a model already successfully awarded as Best Seller at Geneva 2016: Fiat Tipo is the new star of passenger cars powered by alternative fuels. Beyond its strong sustainability credentials, there is a significant economic incentive for Romanian drivers to choose an LPG model. When driving an LPG Fiat Tipo for 7 years, the savings achieved compared to driving with gasoline are similar to the recoup of the entire car price.

If in previous years there were only a few models of new Autogas cars in the Romanian market, after the new Fiat LPG Panda and Qubo were launched in 2013, many car importers took this opportunity to sustain this growing market. The local market currently has LPG models of Dacia, Hyundai and Suzuki, among other renowned brands.

Moreover, AGR Autogas Group has launched this month a next generation fuel system, which has the ability to switch to LPG much faster than traditional equipment

“I started this project two years ago, when we started the testing phase of this product on different types of cars, in different modes and at different temperature levels. After the results, we have decided to approve new types of LPG kits of AGR brand, which are composed of AC reducers, produced in collaboration with the Polish manufacturer, well known in Romania for its wide range of LPG automotive electronics, STAG,” said Silviu Raicea, AGR Autogas Group Commercial Director.

“LPG installation approval phase is nearing completion. For 2016, given the improved product mix and the ability to offer a technical solution effective for all types of cars powered by gasoline, we are optimistic in terms of figures and we expect a growth of approximately 20% compared to 2015,” added Raicea.
