Italian city offers free parking to alternative fuel vehicles

Fiorenzuola d’Arda, a city and commune in the province of Piacenza, part of the Emilia-Romagna region, is offering a 25-hour bonus to the owners of Autogas, natural gas and hybrid vehicles so they can park for free in the city’s blue parking lots.

The announcement was made by the Councillor for the Environment Franco Brauner, who explained that the initiative is a continuation of a similar measure implemented last year and that is seeks to “incentivise the use of less polluting mobility and improve air quality.”

The bonus is already available at Fiorenzuola Patrimonio offices and to be eligible people must present the documentation verifying the vehicle is equipped with and LPG, CNG or hybrid propulsion system.
