Global car rental company joins Spanish energy company to promote Autogas

LeasePlan and DISA announced a collaboration agreement that allows Canary Islands-based companies to operate Autogas vehicles in renting mode and with the refuelling guarantee offered by DISA’s LPG station network. LeasePlan is a Dutch multinational specialised in fleet management with presence in Spain since 1985.

Thanks to this agreement, LeasePlan’s rental car fleet will bet on a stronger adoption of LPG, as the company considers it to be the fuel with more economic and environmental advantages today. The partnership will also allow LeasePlan’s Autogas vehicles available in the archipelago to refuel at DISA fuelling stations in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. DISA currently operates 30 Autogas stations in Spain.

“In the Canary Islands, as in LeasePlan, there is a broad sustainable awareness. For this reason, we are working so that our vehicle fleet is more environmentally-friendly every day: in this case, betting on LPG-powered vehicles. Along with DISA, we are able to offer our customers everything they need: quality vehicles, services and refuelling,” said David Henche, Director of Marketing and Communication of LeasePlan Spain.

This strategic alliance between DISA and LeasePlan Spain reflects the ability of both companies to adapt to the new needs and demands of society, promoting actions that help protect the environment and the transition towards low-emission mobility in the coming years.
