Bharat Mobility Global Expo displays India’s alternative-fuelled vehicles

Major automakers gathered in New Delhi to showcase their commitment to sustainable mobility at the 2024 Expo, exhibiting a range of vehicles that emphasised the need for eco-friendly transportation solutions for the future.

Among the many OEMs participating, Bajaj Auto is displayed a variety of vehicles that run on a range of cleaner alternative fuels, including India’s first auto taxi, the Bajaj Qute. It is a 4-seater hatchback for commuters that comes in two variants, LPG and CNG.

Rakesh Sharma, executive director at Bajaj Auto, stated: “It is a great opportunity to showcase some of our innovative mobility solutions to not just the customer, but also to all stakeholders like policymakers, vendors, and collaborators. Our technology and manufacturing capabilities are being leveraged to delight customers in India as well as in over 90 countries where we operate. The displayed range has been carefully selected to demonstrate our commitment to not just conventional fuel-based options but also to newer and cleaner alternative fuels in step with the goals of society.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, expressed confidence in India’s rapid ascension to become the world’s third-largest economy. PM Modi emphasised the nation’s strides in several sectors and highlighted the pivotal role of the mobility area in achieving that goal.
