BeGas presents new Euro VI E liquid injection 4-cylinder engine
The new B430LG engine, manufactured by BeGas, is the first family of Euro VI E engines powered by LPG (bioLPG) from the injector tank. BeGas is a Spanish pioneer in the development of 100% sustainable engines powered by Autogas for heavy urban vehicles.
With a maintenance and useful life very similar to diesel engines, the B430LG is a liquid-injected Euro VI E four-cylinder engine that provides high reliability, due to the quality of the materials and components used for its manufacture; likewise, liquid injection ensures the optimisation of each cycle.
According to the data obtained under the Real Drive Emissions Test (RDE Test), the use of these engines reduces emissions by 92% in particle numbers (PN), 93% in particle matter (PM10), 90% in nitrogen oxides (NOx), 70% in hydrocarbons (HC) and 65% in carbon monoxide (CO).
Another benefit of this engine platform’s combustion technology is that it employs a Four-Way Catalyst (FWC) aftertreatment system, which offers consistent emission control performance, is maintenance-free, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the vehicle. In addition, the B430LG does not require active Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment. Neither is it necessary to use AdBlue or forced regeneration of the particulate filter.
In addition, the Port Fuel Injection (PFI) system provides absolute control of the fuel from the tank to the tip of the injector, obtaining a homogeneous oxygen/gas mixture inside the cylinder and low fuel consumption. It also helps the atomisation of the fuel in the intake, which contributes to the reduction of polluting gas emissions and increases the efficiency of the engine.
With this new launch, BeGas continues to position itself as one of the main options that offers both public administrations and transport companies a sustainable alternative at an affordable price. For more information, please check here.
