Bangladesh minister supports Autogas development in the country

State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid showed its support and commitment to the Autogas sector by inaugurating a new LPG refuelling station in Motijheel, Dhaka city.

Inaugurating the Autogas station, Nasrul Hamid said the government has been promoting Autogas for its use in motor vehicles, as this is an environmentally friendly fuel, which is being used by different countries across the world.

He also said that developed world is now emphasising on such sustainable transportation sector and added that every filling station should offer alternative fuels, such as LPG, CNG and electric recharging, in addition to conventional fuels.

The Autogas station is located at an existing Meghna petrol service station near Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) building in Motijheel area. The facility is operated by state-owned Meghna Petroleum and private BM Autogas Company.
