An LPG-powered Dacia Sandero stands out at the Spanish Rally Super Championship
The latest generation Dacia Sandero Eco-G, which will compete at the senior cup of the Spanish Rally Super Championship (known as S-CER) next year, has been one of the great poles of attention of the La Nucía-Mediterranean Rally, where it debuted in the hands of the 2018 Sandero Cup champion, José Álvarez. It will be the most accessible and sustainable vehicle in the national competition.
After a 2023 campaign full of new features and sporting incentives, the Renault Group Spain competition program has incorporated another great incentive with a view to next season: the Dacia Sandero Eco Cup car which will star in the Sandero Cup in 2024. This a completely new model that has emerged as the protagonist of the S-CER in the penultimate event on the calendar, the La Nucía-Mediterranean Rally.
Álvarez has been in charge of debuting the Dacia Sandero Eco Cup built by Driveland Events on the current basis of the Dacia Sandero Stepway 100 ECO-G, following the standards of category N3. Its LPG engine makes it the most sustainable vehicle in the S-CER, which, together with its contained acquisition and maintenance costs (EUR 8,499 is the price of the kit), outlines the new protagonist of the Sandero Cup as an ideal option for new teams that want to become part of the national competition.
The Dacia Sandero Eco Cup vehicle has successfully completed the 12 special stages of the La Nucía-Mediterranean Rally, adding a total of 151.45 timed kilometres, both day and night, through the twisty and abrasive stretches characteristic of the Levantine event.
