Algeria state-owned company will enhance production of LPG cylinders locally
Negotiations are underway between Naftal and a foreign partner for the manufacture of Autogas cylinders in Mascara, in north-western Algeria, according to Naftal’s Director of Gas Cylinder Production in Mascara, Djamel Laoudi.
The authority explained that four hectares, of a total area of 10 hectares, are already reserved to house the new facilities for the production of LPG components for vehicles. The announcement took place during the visit of the governor of Mascara, Hamid Baiche, to the project area.
He also announced contracts with local vehicle manufacturers for the installation of these Autogas kits before handing over the vehicles to customers.
The project to modernise the production lines of the plant involves a budget of 750 million DA (over 6 million U.S. dollars) and has already increased the production of LPG cylinders and equipment for vehicles in the last years.
The production is expected to reach the 3,816 million units this year, 4,850 million in 2020 and a maximum of 6,770 million in 2023. For more information, please check this link.
